On the planet Nalv, when someone loses a memory, it falls to the ground in the form of a tiny, sparkling bauble. (if it is ever picked up and swallowed by someone, even the one who lost it, the memory will enter their mind and become theirs). The monster Varkan picks through these baubles and uses its Inflator Arm to expand them into full-size planets, then lets them drift into space to find orbital homes. The planets evolve to be themed after the specific memory.
