Scientists who set out to discover whether the universe is infinite or not, develop exponentially multiplying lifespans for themselves. They travel across space, living longer and longer with each lifespan, until one by one, each goes mad. As each descends into Infinite Madness, they are met by the creature Quedengigos, who comforts them and escorts them into infinity.
