On the planet Onvax, an annual competition is held. The 'Battle Of The Brains' draws contestants from all over the advanced nations to test their mental prowess. Whoever is determined to have the most developed and advanced mind will be neuro-linked to the planet's Biospheric Maintenance Grid to keep nature going for the next year, as nature itself had long ago been expired due to overdevlopment. A strange, prehistoric creature with the most simplistic brain possible disguises itself as a contestant, yet wins the contest anyway, proving the fallacy of it all. The planet's natural balance is then thrown into chaos with endless storms and disasters.
