An eccentric professor studied evolution and goes to the media explaining his theory that a strange evolutionaru 'dead-end' exists where all failed species end up. He theorizes that this special 'pocket of time' can be discovered with the proper funding. After he is laughed out of the scientific community, the spirit of the kaiju Chrungll calls out, hoping to reconnect with evolution and agrees to help the professors' experiment via telepathy. Ince the first device is perfected, the monster enters the world and is harmless, until the authorities kill the professor during a riot.
