When the planet Gaznon was torn apart by extreme gas fissures, the creatures there tried to limit the danger by standing around the eruption area and sucking in the powerful gases. They saved their planet, but those who had inhaled all of the gas floated into orbit and then became infected with a space disease called Night Madness.
