A plague of strange giant flowers cover the world, and all attempts to destroy them fail. An ambitious politician promises to get rid of the flowers if elected, and is quickly rewarded with the position of power. Miraculously, the flowers begin to wither on their own. This angers the giant monster Holfeg, who needs the flowers to alter the atmosphere so it can breathe. It is revealed that Holfeg and the politician were both once lovers, and the affair ended horribly. Holfeg became mutated into a monster due to the agony of the breakup.
