A King begs a visiting Wizard to aid in the protection of his castle before a siege. The wizard agrees abut warns that this will cause the King to lose his best friend. In desperation, the King agrees. The Wizard turns the King's faithful pet lizard into a giant monster. The monster defeats the enemy but becomes hungry and eats all of the King's treasure, which turned out to be the King;s best friend after all.
