The Mezanorfis Organism was the final form of all life in the galaxy, once it had all been evolved to the end of its possibilities, and had given up hope of the future since it had no more mutation options left. Depressed, it fell into a planet's deep ocean and de-evolved itself on purpose into a harmless creature. The warlike inhabitants of the planet discovered it and, since they despised harmless creatures, attacked it with gamma bombs that turned it into a kaiju.
