Mysterious energy waves appear in a beautiful lush valley, frightening the inhabitants and causing the trees and terrain to become twisted and strange. A village mystic claims that the energy is a sign of an invasion from another dimension. The mystic collapses and dissolves into a pile of dice-like cubes. The astronomers cannot find anything to confirm an invasion and they too dissolve into dice. When a lone traveler enters the valley, she seems to know the truth: that the energy is the heartbeat of the Spykom people, beings from another dimension who send their own heartbeats into other dimensions to twist them and prepare them from a Random Invasion. They have no idea when an invasion will occur, if ever, and by whom, but they know there will be one, hence the Random Preparation. The travels fires an interdimensional arrows into the energy to disband it, but it only forms into the creature Spykom-Alpha.
