Gulzik w/ Honour Stick

- From the Starcade Project
ABOUT THE GULZIKS
Mischievous night creatures: often function as stagehands and workers for very fast jobs
HOW THEY ARE REMINISCENT OF GOBLINS
- 1 - some have wings, some do not
- 2 - spindly arms
- 3 - mischeivous
- 4 - annoying cackles

Inhabitants of the more exotic jungles of Edemos, the PROTO-GULZIKS were stick-like creatures (sticks = great camouflage) that adapted to become very busy and hectic beings due to the wild and chaotic nature of their environment.  As their numbers grew too large, they had to leave the jungles in search of other jungles. To do this, some evolved wings (to seek by the air), while others did not (to seek by land)

The land ones could travel a good distance but if the environment became too boring (not as hectic as they were used to), they would pass out and die, unless others could drag them back to the jungle to recuperate in time. The flying ones could go much farther, but if they didn't find another jungle soon enough, they would pass out too, and would die certainly because they were too far from home to be rescued.

To survive the long distances without being bored to death, the GULZIKS learned to store their 'busyness' in their belies, so they evolved to be pot-bellied creatures, still with spindly arms.

Back in the jungles, when an old PROTO-GULZIK died, its legs would fall off and only the stick-body remain. Evolved GULZIKs would have a ceremony and one of them would be chosen to take the stick-body to carry as a weapon for the rest of its life. These crude weapons are called HONOUR STICKS, and a GULZIK that becomes separated from its HONOUR STICK will become sickly and depressed.

When the Starcade took over Edemos, a large percentage of GULZIKS were excited by the new extra-hectic environments the alien invasion offered, and they became eager Associates.

Still, whenever they would get bored (from being too far from their jungle homelands), they would turn to mischief to keep themselves mentally occupied.
