ABOUT VANDALIEN:
A mysterious entity that haunts the amusement park planet of Starcade, the Vandalien is an inky black creature that seems to delight on sabotage and mischief. The Vandalien seems unable to affect the world by itself and often uses others to carry out its plans, namely shape-shifting creatures (like the Isru-Seijin). By using these agents, the Vandalien can infiltrate areas to create its more complex plans.
The Vandalien is thought to have come from the many areas of Darkness scattered over Old Edemos, and can sometimes be found there. Many native Edemos believe that the Vandalien is really a forgotten 7th form of Magic, that has descended into blackness and formed its own sentience. It does seem that the Vandalien are annoyed by other magic types, and even afraid of Core Magic.
The Starcade Project recognized the troublesome beings and decided to (as usual) turn the problem into a Marketing Opportunity. They designated certain areas where they would feed the Vandalien irresistible opportunities to play its game of sabotage. In return, the Vandalien would create complex and interesting 'games' usually using shape-shifters.
