The Carnival Planet was an interstellar attraction until a virus infected all of the staff and, in fact, all life on the planet. The virus was unusual in that it destroyed the body slowly but left the mind intact. Soon the planet was filled with ghosts, and a band of troublemaking spirits turned a carnival ride into the kaiju Demonakruncha

Magnum Demonfire: breathes blasts of hellish fire that fills an area with eerie screams and laughter
Spirit Wall: can summon a ghostly barrier to defend against attacks
Macabre Music: can uses arms to capture music and turn it into strange haunted melodies
